Playbk Sports has been accepted into the AWS EdStart program, the AWS educational technology (EdTech) start-up accelerator, designed to help entrepreneurs build the next generation of online learning, analytics, and campus management solutions on the AWS Cloud.

The accelerator is designed to enable startups to move faster through benefits such as equity-free financial support through AWS Promotional Credit, technical training and support, access to a global community of technology experts and more.

Playbk Sports Co-founder, Damian Hecker discussed what this announcement means to the business.

“We are thrilled to have been endorsed as a member of the AWS EdStart accelerator program. To be working alongside other start-up pioneers from across the globe is not just an incredible opportunity to grow our business but wonderful recognition for our team on the journey that got us here and those who have supported us along the way.”

Playbk Sports makes delivering online learning simple and effective with dynamic technology, immersive custom and white-label courses, and – of course – Unrivalled Fan Engagement.

Playbk works with professional teams and elite sporting organisations by harnessing your logo, players, coaches and administrators and uses the power of those ‘brands’ to create learning opportunities that clubs can commercialise.

When quizzed on the future of fan engagement, Playbk Sports Co-founder, Jon Shepherd was upbeat.

“Technology enables us to reach fans where they are – 24/7 on-demand immersive learning experiences segment sport into bite sized sellable products that grow fan avidity. Involvement in the AWS EdStart program will allow us to accelerate our technology offerings to develop more fan engagement experiences and help our Client Roster commercialise their content.”

Included as part of this global initiative for collaboration and learning is access to webinars, resources, tutorials, experts and a global EdTech community.

With all of these resources now at their fingertips how do Playbk Sports intend to improve the efficiency of their online learning services and give their Client Roster the best possible experience throughout their development journey?

“Through the AWS EdStart program our tech team will be able to enhance our products, our learning designers will get access to innovative approaches to technology-enhanced learning and our marketing team will also get an insight into how other companies connect their customer base,” Hecker said. “It’s a holistic support program to accelerate business growth and we are excited to be a part of it.”

“The great thing about being in the AWS EdStart program is we can share our learning and efficiencies with our professional sport partners too.”

End.
