Pain

Across Queensland, athletes, coaches and teachers lacked access to consistent, high-quality basketball education. Opportunities to learn from NBL players were limited to occasional clinics, leaving regional communities without regular access to elite knowledge and role models.

Problem

The Brisbane Bullets faced challenges scaling development programs beyond in-person delivery. Geography, cost and time restricted participation, while teachers and coaches lacked structured resources that connected grassroots basketball to elite performance pathways.

Solution

The Brisbane Bullets partnered with Playbk Sports and the Queensland Government’s ActiveKIT initiative to launch Bullets Assist. Powered by the Playbk Platform, Schools and Academy, the program delivers player-led learning, structured pathways and flexible access for athletes, coaches and educators across Queensland.

Results

Bullets Assist expanded the club’s reach beyond traditional delivery, connecting schools, coaches and athletes statewide. Elite basketball knowledge is now accessible anytime, supporting participation, development and long-term engagement across the basketball pathway.
