Expanding Inclusive Rugby League Opportunities Across Australia with Leagueability Move
The Gold Coast Titans and Playbk Sports have officially launched Leagueability Move — a world-first digital movement program designed to help people with intellectual and physical disabilities get active anywhere, anytime.
Unveiled during the NRL Magic Round Leagueability Gala Day at Valley DieHards, the program builds on the long-standing success of the Titans Leagueability initiative, using digital delivery to extend its reach beyond the field and into homes, parks, schools, clubs and communities across Queensland and Australia.
Delivered through the Titans Teach ecosystem and powered by Playbk Participate, Leagueability Move includes:
- 8 structured movement and training sessions
- A build-your-own activity library
- A short Getting Started course for coaches, parents and carers
Each session blends mindfulness, movement and rugby league skills to create flexible, accessible and enjoyable physical activity experiences for participants of all abilities.
Renee Cohen said the program represents the next evolution of the Leagueability journey.
“Leagueability has grown incredibly over the years, creating safe and inclusive spaces for people with disabilities to play our game.
Through Titans Teach and programs like Pathway to Play previously supported by ActiveKIT and Griffith University, we’ve supported clubs and volunteers to start Leagueability programs in their communities.
Now, with Leagueability Move, anyone can access these experiences — whether they’re at home, at the park or at their local club — and coaches, parents and carers can get involved alongside participants.”
Developed in partnership with Playbk Sports and supported through the Queensland Government’s ActiveKIT program, Leagueability Move has been designed to reduce barriers to participation and create more flexible opportunities for people to connect with rugby league.
Jon Shepherd said the project highlights the role connected digital products can play in scaling inclusive sport nationally.
“Leagueability Move allows us to use technology to create greater impact for people with disabilities searching for inclusive and easy-to-access physical activity experiences.
Through digital access, the Leagueability movement can now reach communities across Queensland and Australia — creating more opportunities to be active, build confidence and potentially take the next step into structured programs.
We’re incredibly grateful to the Queensland Government and ActiveKIT for backing this project and helping bring it to life.”
Built for flexibility and accessibility, the program enables users to complete full sessions or create their own workouts using short, easy-to-follow activities with minimal equipment and adaptable delivery options.
The launch marks another significant step in the Titans’ commitment to inclusive participation, reinforcing the belief that rugby league should be accessible to everyone, regardless of ability or location.
As part of Playbk Sports’ connected product ecosystem, the project also demonstrates how digital participation products can help sporting organisations extend community impact, strengthen engagement and scale delivery nationwide.
