“We are thrilled to bring AusBike Digital to schools across Australia and continue to help teach students a skill for life. AusBike Digital continues our mission to get more kids across Australia enjoying a life of freedom and adventure on two wheels.”

Nikki Horton, Executive General Manager of Clubs and Community Enhancement at AusCycling

“AusBike Digital is a unique program that uses immersive classroom activities aligned with curriculum standards, encompassing the fundamental aspects of bike education, in a fun and interactive manner. Since launching 12 months ago, more than 30,000 kids across Australia have experienced AusBike through a range of our practical programs, and we look forward to continuing to grow that number into the future with AusBike Digital.”

AusBike Digital is meticulously aligned with ACARA State and National Curriculum Standards, ensuring that the content is relevant and applicable to students aged 8-12. The courses incorporate a variety of engaging learning tools, including videos, quizzes, and interactive tasks, designed to captivate young learners while instilling essential bike skills and safety awareness.

Playbk Sports Chief Operating Officer Damian Hecker emphasised the importance of providing educators with tools that are both engaging for students and academically rigorous. “At Playbk Sports, we understand that for eLearning in the education sector to be truly successful, it must resonate with both students and teachers. AusBike Digital was developed with this in mind, ensuring that it not only aligns with curriculum standards but also meets the academic needs of the age group. Our goal is to provide teachers with a resource that is easy to use, enjoyable for students, and impactful in terms of learning outcomes and encouraging more kids to cycle.”

The early success of AusBike Digital is already evident, with teacher enrolments indicating that over 5,000 students are expected to engage with the program this year. This figure is set to grow as more schools across the country adopt the platform post the official launch.

Playbk Sports has introduced numerous digital learning tools into Australian schools including for the National Football League, Gold Coast SUNS, Special Olympics Australia and others. Their proven track record of enhancing student engagement and supporting teachers with resourcing that saves them planning time and helps deliver improved results was also pivotal in the development and delivery of AusBike Digital.

AusBike Digital complements the practical on-bike program, AusBike, which was launched last year and is supported by the Australian Government through the Australian Sports Commission. With the combined power of these programs, students across Australia are equipped to embrace a healthier, more active lifestyle, all while developing skills that will serve them throughout their lives.

Playbk Sports’ role in bringing AusBike Digital to life underscores its commitment to driving innovation in education. By partnering with AusCycling to provide students with an interactive and comprehensive bike education program, Playbk Sports are proud to play their role inspiring a new generation of confident, safe, and environmentally conscious cyclists and setting the stage for a healthier and more active Australia.
