The 2022 Future of Australian Sport report, produced by the Australian Sports Commission (ASC) and Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), identifies six Sport Mega Trends that will shape the future of the sport sector in Australia.
These Sport Mega Trends range from the increasing importance of inclusivity and technology to the rise of flexible pathways to sport. In response, ASC launched the Play Well Participation Grant Program, which aims to help National Sports Organisations (NSOs) develop programs that address these trends and bring sport to more Australians in accessible, engaging ways.
