Sports sponsorship experts, Playbk has been accepted into the AWS EdStart program, the AWS educational technology (EdTech) startup accelerator, designed to help entrepreneurs build the next generation of online learning, analytics, and campus management solutions on the AWS Cloud.

The accelerator is designed to help entrepreneurs build the next generation of online learning, analytics, and campus management solutions on the AWS Cloud. The accelerator is designed to enable EdTech startups to move faster through benefits such as equity-free financial support through AWS Promotional Credit, technical training and support, access to a global community of EdTech experts and more.

Playbk, co-founder, Damian Hecker discussed what this announcement means to the business.

“We are thrilled to have been endorsed as a member of the AWS EdStart accelerator program. To be working alongside other EdTech pioneers from across the globe is not just an incredible opportunity to grow our business but wonderful recognition for our team on the journey that got us here and those who have supported us along the way.”

When quizzed on the unpredictability of future job prospects for young people, Hecker was upbeat.

“Technology is only going to become more prevalent in elite sport and we must prepare for and embrace this,” Hecker explained. “It is the skills that make us human that will see those who invest in themselves be more employable. That’s our focus – using technology to help people amplify their human capabilities.”

Included as part of this global initiative for collaboration and learning is access to webinars, resources, tutorials, experts and a global EdTech community. With all of these resources now at their fingertips how do Playbk intend to improve the efficiency of their e-learning services and give their schools and students the best possible experience throughout their development journey?

“Through the AWS EdStart program our tech team will be able to enhance our products, our learning designers will get access to innovative approaches to technology-enhanced learning and our marketing team will also get an insight into how others companies educate their customer base,” Hecker said. “It’s a holistic support program to accelerate business growth and we are excited to be a part of it.”

A sports sponsorship and technology company on the rise, Paybk look well placed to capitalise on what will no doubt be major growth through digital transformation in the education arena over coming years.
